LONDON – THE defector whose claims that Iraq had biological weapons were used to justify the 2003 US invasion has admitted that he lied to help get rid of Saddam Hussein, the Guardian newspaper said on Tuesday.
‘Maybe I was right, maybe I was not right,’ Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi told the British newspaper. ‘They gave me this chance. I had the chance to fabricate something to topple the regime. I and my sons are proud of that and we are proud that we were the reason to give Iraq the margin of democracy,’ he added.
Mr Janabi, codenamed Curveball by German and American intelligence officials, told the BND, Germany’s secret service, that Iraq had mobile bioweapons trucks and had built clandestine factories.
The faulty information formed the cornerstone of former US Secretary of State Colin Powell’s key address to the United Nations on February 5, 2003.
‘I had a problem with the Saddam regime,’ Mr Janabi told the paper during a meeting in Germany. ‘I wanted to get rid of him and now I had this chance.’ ‘I tell you something when I hear anybody, not just in Iraq but in any war, (is) killed, I am very sad. But give me another solution. Can you give me another solution? Believe me, there was no other way to bring about freedom to Iraq. There were no other possibilities,’ he continued.
German authorities approached Mr Janabi in 2000 after identifying him as a Baghdad-trained chemical engineer with possible inside intelligence of former leader Hussein’s regime. -AFP

Despite what some detractors say, torrents have plenty of legitimate uses — one of which is helping organizations distribute digital content at little or no cost. That’s especially important for a non-profit like Khan Academy, which is why its partnership with BitTorrent Inc. makes perfect sense.
Khan Academy is a provider of free, online educational videos. A wide range of subjects are covered, including physics, biology, trigonometry, calculus, and economics. The academy’s vault currently includes more than 2,000 videos, and all are now accessible via BitTorrent apps. Founder Salman Khan told TorrentFreak, “BitTorrent is a great platform to help us fulfill our mission of providing world-class education to anyone, anywhere.”
If you’ve got either uTorrent or BitTorrent installed, just install the Khan Academy app and get studying! Best of all, you’ll also be helping out by seeding content and giving back to the community while you watch.

The internet is full of BitTorrent search engines, but what if you’re just trying to decide what your weekend movie should be? TorrentButler presents new releases in a visually attractive fasion, linking to standard and high definition torrents for each.
The problem with most torrent sites is that they don’t offer a lot of ways to just browse around the catalog. If you want to download something, you have to know what you’re looking for. If you just want to just see what’s out there, web site TorrentButler is a web site that is, essentially, just a giant mosaic of movie posters. You can filter them by popularity, genre, or date released, and search through them if you get an idea of what you’re looking for. Clicking on a poster will link you to that movie’s page, which contains a movie trailer, description, and links to a number of high and standard definition torrents.

Apart from the convenience of being able to actually browse new releases, this site is gorgeous—almost like XBMC for the web (notice the fanart-like view for the movie page to the left). Even if you’re not a BitTorrenter, this site is pretty sweet for browsing new releases and deciding on your weekend movie—much better than making the trek out to Blockbuster. Hit the link to check it out.

Short, sharp bursts of activity have proven to be more effective than long, drawn-out exercise. exercise that most people choose is long slow cardio exercise such as jogging, swimming or hours on the treadmill, bike, or elliptical trainer.
This kind of exercise burns mostly fat during the exercise. Which seems like a good idea, but actually INCREASES the chances of your body storing fat in the long run. In general, the body considers long, slow activity the same as “being lost in the jungle” which means it is best to store AS MUCH fat as possible to stay alive!
Lots of bad stuff happens inside you when you do excess amounts of long distance cardio. After all, look at the people at a marathon. Many of them are fat and have average or unimpressive physiques despite hours and hours of cardio exercise.
Here are three main reasons why:
1) Cardio increases the amount of stress hormones you produce
2) Cardio decreases the amount of muscle building hormones you have
3) Your body actually burns lots of amino acids when doing cardio
What kind of exercises should you do then? Read more at:
