News, events, and other interesting finds

Okay, I have been very lazy considering the long break from the previous update since I got back to Singapore last year, so here’s a bumper-update that I have been thinking of doing for a long time already (point-form to avoid being long-winded).

1) Youth Camp – had a great time connecting and catching up with the people I rarely see nowadays.

2) Bryan & Siaw Tze – hosted them in Singapore for a few days, brought them sightseeing.

3) Family Cruise – family went on a cruise to Penang & Phuket. Enjoyed all the great food and bonding.

4) Back to Perth – new accommodation, new friends, bought a car. Looking forward to a more exciting year!

Photos have been uploaded to Facebook, but here is a few of the nicer ones:

Yesterday I went out with Justin. He brought me to have lunch at some jap shop in the city. We then went to King’s park and Cottesloe Beach. Shared a tub of ice-cream :) and took photos.

Anyway, on the 26th I met Alex, Bevan & Jon for lunch. We went to some place near Bugis that sells noodles with milk soup or soup with milk (?). I didn’t want noodles so I just ate a normal set meal. It was a time of catching up, and we talked about everything under the sun. (okay, just about ourselves and future plans)

I love sunsets, and their golden-orange colour. The ones that I can see at my camp are especially beautiful. How I wish sometimes I could bring a camera into camp to take pictures of the sunset skies. (the above image was sourced using google)

This week my family returned from the U.S. at 12am on Sunday, 8th June. A few relatives and church friends went to meet them at the airport, and Uncle Kin Wah/Aunty Lois kindly gave me a lift. I was so excited to see my family again after two years, and had lots to catch up with together.

I stayed over at Uncle Kin Wah’s house and followed them to church camp the same morning. We reached the resort early and as the rooms wasn’t ready yet, went to have lunch/shopping before dinner.

This camp was really fun and exciting, although the meals were mediocre during the first few days. The best parts of the camp was that the camp speaker spoke about our destiny and how we can know and claim it, and that I spent time fellowshipping with my friends :)   .

After the church camp, the next major event is that the ‘U Connect’ life group held its first gathering. We had a time of praise & worship, sharing, and ice breakers. The parents provided lunch after that too.

In the evening, my family went for my cousin’s wedding dinner at holiday inn parkview. It was unexpectedly good, and me and my sis took lots of photos.

Right now I’m kinda at a crossroads in my life, where I need to make an important decision on what is my next course of study or work, which will affect my future. Please pray for me, that God will open a way and provide for my needs so that I may ‘walk’ in the plan and destiny that He has for my life.

I just bought the Eee PC, and installed windows on it.
