Not convinced if SugarSync is for you?

Here are some testimonials and reviews by leading tech blogs and magazines:

Computerworld February 17, 2012

“What sets SugarSync apart from Dropbox, and is the reason why I use it as my main synchronization software, is its file manager software. SugarSync Manager monitors the status of your files, manages sharing, and is where you manually send files from one device to another.”

PCMag December 29, 2011

“I highly recommend starting with SugarSync rather than learn the Dropbox way. SugarSync is more intuitive, gives you more free space to start, and works on every major and minor platform, a big reason we picked it as an Editors’ Choice.”

Gizmodo September 28, 2011

Gizmodo did a head-to-head comparison of Cloud services including SugarSync, Dropbox, Box, Apple’s iCloud and more, and in the end, they declared SugarSync “The Ultimate Victor.”

CNET April 29, 2011

“So what’s the verdict? If you’re looking for a way to automatically back up photos as you take them, SugarSync is a no-brainer choice.”

CNET April 29, 2011

“It doesn’t revolve around a single carry-all folder the way Dropbox does. Rather, SugarSync allows you to pick and choose any folders on any of your devices to sync, which means tons of flexibility

Good Housekeeping March 26, 2012

“The most feature-rich cloud service in our test, SugarSync offers easy syncing and editing across nearly every device…”

Business Insider Feb 7, 2012

“Once You Use This App, You’ll Want To Ditch Dropbox Forever”

ABC News August 30, 2011

“You can also share select files publicly if you’re working on a group project. There are other cloud-based storage options, like DropBox, but SugarSync gives you the option of continuously syncing multiple files.”

GottaBeMobile May 4, 2011

“We were really impressed with SugarSync. For people who are starting from scratch, this is the service to use. The free 5GB of storage is more than double what DropBox offers. It is fast and is more versatile allowing any folder on your computer to be synced.

Small Cloud Builder March 29, 2011

“In addition, SugarSync has editing support for certain file types, and shared folders with password protection, while Dropbox has none of these features. So if any of them are useful to you, you might just want to stop reading here and pick up SugarSync.”

BNET March 24, 2011

“There’s not a single business owner who wouldn’t benefit from a cloud-sync service, and I continue to be partial to SugarSync (which has always struck me as more business-friendly than, say, Dropbox). For one thing, you can get a free 5GB account, enough to handle an awful lot of documents — maybe all your documents.”

For three weeks now, Android fans have been fidgeting impatiently. Specifically, ever since ASUS chairman Jonney Shih took the stage at last month’s AsiaD conference and teased the next-gen Transformer tablet. Though he only gave us a quick glimpse, he recited a laundry list of specs: a 10.1-inch display, 8.3mm-thick body, mini-HDMI output, microSD slot and an update to Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of the year, if not sooner. Not to mention, it’ll be the first tablet packing NVIDIA’s hot-off-the-presses Tegra 3 SoC, making it the first-ever quad-core tablet.

Well, that day has come, and so have the juicy details. We just got word that the tablet will go on sale worldwide in December, starting at USD$499 with a beefy 32GB of storage, moving up to USD$599 for a 64GB model. (That signature keyboard dock you see up there will cost USD$149.) In addition to those basic specs Mr. Shih revealed last month, we now know this has a 1280 x 800, Super IPS+ Gorilla Glass display with a 178-degree viewing angle and a max brightness of 600 nits. It also packs 1GB of RAM, GPS, a gyroscope, SonicMaster audio and a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera. Rounding out the list is an 8MP shooter with an auto-focusing f/2.4 lens and a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that captures 1080p video. Touch-to-focus is also an option here, and ASUS claims a 30 percent boost in color enhancement over competing tabs.

As for battery life, we initially heard reports of 14.5-hour runtime, but ASUS is now saying the tablet alone can squeeze out 12 hours thanks to a 22Wh battery, and that the dock will add an additional six hours of juice. In addition, the slimmed-down, 1.2-pound dock brings all the other benefits the last-gen model offered, including a touchpad, USB 2.0 port and full-sized SD slot. Software-wise, it’ll ship with Android 3.2 and apps such as SuperNote and Polaris Office, and we’re told we’ll learn more about that ICS update in “early December.”

In terms of design, you may have already noticed the Prime sports the same spun aluminum digs as the company’s Zenbooks, though this is the first time we’re seeing clear, close-up shots of it — and in two colors, no less! At 8.3mm (0.33 inches) thick and 586 grams (1.29 pounds) without the dock, it’s a smidge skinnier than the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1, which means, unsurprisingly, that your old Transformer dock won’t be compatible.

Finally, ASUS coated both the display and metal cover with a hydro-oleophobic coating that makes it more fingerprint-resistant. For now, we’ve got photos below and if you can wait a few more weeks, we’ll most definitely be putting this thing through its paces in a full review. And if you’re looking for something a little less expensive, well, the original Transformer should be getting Ice Cream Sandwich soon, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Santa brought a few holiday rebates.

DISC Profiling (free personality test)

Sample report (depending on your input. everyone is unique!)
What is DISC?

Today I took a look at my website/blog stats, and wow, the visitors to my website prefers to use Firefox to IE. IE has been losing ‘support’ since two plus years ago, and it still is. This is because IE tends to crash/give more problems much more than Firefox, and Firefox is user-friendly, easier to customize and less prone to virus/spyware.

For me, these are the add-ons that I have installed on Firefox, and I recommend you try them out as it really increases productivity.

  • Adblock Plus
    - Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Right-click on a banner and choose “Adblock” from the context menu – the banner won’t be downloaded again. (samliew: you save bandwidth too!) Maybe even replace parts of the banner address with star symbols to block similar banners as well. Or you select a filter subscription when Adblock Plus starts up the first time, then even this simple task will usually be unnecessary: the filter subscription will block most advertisements fully automatically.
  • AutoPager
    - The AutoPager Firefox extension automatically loads the next page of a site inline when you reach the end of the current page for infinite scrolling of content. (samliew: Works with most popular sites, but you also can create rules for your favorite sites to automatically load the next few pages.)
  • Better Gmail 2
    - Better Gmail 2 is a compilation of Greasemonkey user scripts that add features to Gmail. Add useful extra features to Gmail, like hierarchical labels, macros, file-type attachment icons, row highlights, and more.
  • British English Dictionary
    - Automatically spell checks whatever you type like a word processor.
  • Download Statusbar
    - View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar – without the download window getting in the way of your web browsing. (samliew: highly recommended! install this and disable the default Firefox download window.)
  • FlashGot
    - Download all the links, movies and audio clips of a page at the maximum speed with a single click, using the most popular, lightweight and reliable external download managers. (samliew: works well with the above plug-in. I use this to download YouTube videos and embedded MP3 from websites)
  • Greasemonkey
    - Allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript script.  Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of popular sites, are already available at http://www.userscripts.org (samliew: if you read manga at www.onemanga.com, install my onemangahelper script)
  • Greasefire
    - If you installed the above plug-in, now you can get scripts for whatever page you visit on the fly. When you visit a web page that has compatible user scripts on userscripts.org, this extension will highlight the Greasemonkey icon in the status bar.
  • PDF Download
    - This plug-in allows you to choose what you want to do with PDF files when you click on a link to it, either viewing as PDF, downloading it, or letting the company convert it to HTML for you (free!).
