Hi, I am Samuel Liew.
你好, 我是刘永明。
ni hao, wo shi liu yong ming

I am very fortunate to have been born into a Christian family.
我非常幸福出生入基督徒家庭。
wo fei chang xing fu chu shen ru ji du tu jia ting

Not only that, I even studied in a Christian school.
我也在基督教学校 念书 ,
wo ye zhai ji du jiao xue jiao nian shu

And so from young my parents taught me good values and provided for all my needs.
并且从小我父母教我 做人的道里 , 和假设为所有我的需要 。
ping qie cong xiao wo fu mu jiao wo zhuo ren de dao li, he jia she wei suo you wo de sui yao

However life seemed so routine to me.
Day in, day out, life seems to be meaningless and I was not sure where I was heading.
但是日复一日 , 生活似乎是无意义和我不是肯定的生活似乎很定期对我朝向的地方 。
dan shi re fu yi re, shen huo si hu shi wu yi yi he wo bu shi ken ding de shen huo si hu hen ding qi dui wo chao xiang de di fang

I thought to myself that there must be more to life than this.

Because my parents were serving in church,
由于我的父母在教会里 实奉 ,

I had many opportunities to listen to Christian messages from church services and evangelistic meetings.

My parents also talked to me much about a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I came to realize that being born into a Christian family did not make me a Christian.

Just like someone said, being born in a zoo does not make me an animal.
比如我在动物园里出世 , 这并不是说我是一只动物 。

I came to realize that I need to personally invite Jesus into my heart and life.
我逐渐意识到 , 我需要亲自邀请耶稣 来到 我的心 作我的救主 和生 命的主 。
wo zhu jian yi shi dao wo xu yao qin ji yao qing ye shu lai dao wo de xin zuo wei wo de jiu zhu he shen ming de zu

Then in 1995, I consciously said a simple prayer to accept Jesus which goes something like this:

“Dear Jesus, I admit that I’m a sinner. Please forgive me.
“亲爱的耶稣 , 我承认我是罪人。请原谅我。
qin ai de ye shu wo chen ren wo shi zui ren qing yuan liang wo

Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.
感谢 你 在十字架 上 为我的罪 死 。
gan xie ni zai shi zi jia shang wei wo de zui si

I invite you to come into my heart and life and be my Lord and Saviour.
我愿意打开心门接受 耶稣 作我的救主 , 和生 命的主 。
wo yuan yi da kai xin men jie shou ye shu zuo wo de jiu zu he sheng ming de zu

Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen.”
求你管理我的一生 , 使我成为祢所喜悅的人 。阿门。 ”
qiu ni guan li wo de yi shen, shi wo cheng wei ni shuo xi yue de ren. A men.

After saying that prayer, I remembered that there were no dramatic feelings or sensations or immediate changes in my life.
在说那个祷告以后 , 我记得我没有剧烈的感觉或直接变化在我的生活上。
zai shuo na ge dao gao yi hou, wo ji de wo mei you ju lie de gan jue huo zhi jie bian hua zai wo de shen huo shang

However, over a period of time, I could see God making gradual changes in my life.

As I studied the Word of God and listened to the counsel of my parents,

I came to discover that my purpose in life is to bring glory to God.
我来发现 , 我的目的在生活中将带来荣耀给上帝。

In all that I do, I want to do my best for Him and also to bring others to Jesus.
我要带 很多人 来 信 耶稣 。
wo yao dai hen duo ren la xin ye shu

It is so wonderful to know that God has a wonderful plan for my life.
上帝有一个美妙的计划为我生 命 。
shang di you yi ge mei miao de ji hua wei wo shen ming

However receiving Jesus Christ into my heart did not mean that there would be no more problems in my life.
坦是 接受耶稣基督 作我的救主并不是 会没有其他困难在我的生 命 中 。
dan shi, jie shou ye shu ji du zuo wo de jiu zu bing bu shi hui mei you qi ta kun nan zai wo de shen ming zhong

I still have problems in life.
我仍然 还 有困难 。
wo reng ran hai you kun nan

But the difference is that I now know that Jesus is with me to strengthen me and to help me through every situation in life.
但是 , 我现在知道那耶稣是以我加强我和帮助我通过每个情况生活。
dan shi, wo xian zai zhi dao na ye shu shi yi wo jia qiang wo he bang zhu wo tong guo mei ge qing kuang shen huo

As the Bible says, He will never leave me nor forsake me.
因为圣经认为 , 他从未将留下我亦不抛弃我。
yin wei sheng jing ren wei, ta cong wei jiang liu xia wo yi bu pao qi wo

I hope that each of you will also want to experience the love of God through Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour.
我希望 , 你今天能 认渎和 接受耶稣基督 作你的救主 。
wo xi wang, ning jing tian neng ren ?? he jie shou ye shu ji du zuo ni de jiu zu

He also has a wonderful plan for each of you if you would come to Him.
他为你的生活有一个多么美好的计划。
